Fener is a Byzantine garden in Istanbul, built for Empress Theodora. The area is now known as 'Fenerbahçe', meaning 'Lighthouse Garden', on the coast of the Marmara Sea. This decorative fabric features large-scale crewel and corded trees, created using hand-guided machine embroidery techniques. The fabric has a full-width repeat that pattern matches at the join, making it perfect for curtains.
