This is Nina’s London house, that she affectionately refers to as ‘The Hut’ is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Fulham Road. Since moving here, she he has completely tailored it to her needs, raising the height of the roof and adding new windows to create a light, bright space for her bedroom suite on the top floor and carving out the basement to transform it into elegant, airy guest accommodation.
The house is furnished with a mix of favourite pieces accumulated over the years as well as new pieces she has added to pull them all together and the ceilings are painted in a reflective lacquer that adds light and life to the interior. The drawing room is dominated by a simple bolection style fireplace surround in a beautiful gilded finish that Nina bought in Brooklyn and which she has set against a section of wall covered in mirror.
Chelsea Townhouse
The furniture is from Nina’s own collection. At one end is a hall-cum-library with the benefit of a skylight that floods the space with diffuse natural light.
At the other end of this magnificent space, double doors lead to a small terrace. ‘The Hut is the perfect flexible space where Nina has dinners for twenty and even a wedding reception for eighty.
