The Easter Edition

Welcome to your bi-weekly blog where we hope to keep you entertained, engaged and informed with our latest news, recommendations, tips and tricks.

What I love about Easter particularly is that the flowers are so pretty and it means Spring is imminent and Summer is on the way. I love that with an Easter table you can go a bit crazy.

This year I’m going to have one lovely tall vase of blossom branches at home, it’s a wonderful way of getting height into the room. I will hopefully have it done by my dear friend and guest this week, John Carter who makes everything more magical than I ever can. We also have a couple of stunning Great Taste recommendations, alternative Easter gifts and my top tip involving our own wonderfully versatile perspex trays.

John Carter 

John Carter is family! I first met him when he had his flower stand in Bibendum and he used to watch out for Alice on her way from home from school. He has created 3 wonderful weddings, christenings, countless parties for me over the years. 

When you ring John for a special arrangement to go to a friend, for whatever reason, he just hits the perfect spot. I am so thrilled that he is part of the NC newsletter this week.

It is so wonderful to have worked with Nina for so many years now, she is a true inspiration to us all, with the most amazing taste and the biggest heart.
 
I have done numerous table-scapes with Nina over the years and numerous book shoots. I’m always truly inspired when I go into one Nina’s homes! One of my most foremost things I love are the fabrics Nina designs; they are simply exquisite. 
I have thoroughly enjoyed putting together tablescapes for all of Nina’s lunches and dinner parties as she has the most beautiful array of glassware, cutlery etc, it’s simply fabulous and exudes great taste. Always a true pleasure.

Our fabric-backed perspex trays are so versatile and come in a variety of sizes, patterns, colours and shapes.

I love them on the vanity top for all those little bottles that can leave oil or lotion behind and with marble being rather porous it needs protecting. 
I always have a small or medium tray on the drinks table so I can line up line up the different glasses and mini cans of tonic and soda. The new long slim shape is particularly useful by the bed with the water and glass but also on the breakfast table with all the jams on it.
