Nina's News Issue 3

The Spring Edition

Nina Campbell

Welcome to your bi-weekly blog where we hope to keep you entertained, engaged and informed with our latest news, recommendations, tips and tricks.

The sun has been shining (a bit!) and the suggestion of better things to come has me looking forward to Spring. This week we have my very own son Max and daughter Alice as my special guests.
With the clocks going forward at the end of the month, I have put together a couple of top tips to get you prepared for Spring, plus we have a wonderfully refreshing Great Taste recommendation.

Nina's Special Guest

Alice Deen and Max Konig from Nina Campbell

I am so proud to say we are a family run business.
My son Max joined us in 1999 as Managing Director and 10 years later Alice joined as Head of Communications.
I love working with my family and this week I asked Max and Alice to tell me what they love about working at Nina Campbell plus their favourite product.

I joined the family business 11 years ago. There were both excitements and apprehensions about joining the family business, but of course the positives far outweigh any worries I may have had. Apart from the fact that one is fully invested in the company, the biggest bonus (aside the obvious of working with my mother and brother!) is the opportunity to throw yourself into things you wouldn’t have otherwise.
In the last couple of years, I have completed my first interior design project in Holland Park which was both daunting and hugely exciting. We have launched a new website which has taught me so much about e-commerce. And most recently, through the various lockdowns, Max and I have been at the forefront of retail, fully immersing ourselves in sales and customer service. It has been incredible being in contact with some many of our retail clients who otherwise we wouldn’t have dealt with. Thank you to all of you for your un-wavering support and patience recently!
I’m so proud to be part of a business turning 50 this year that’s still run by our mother who started it.

My favourite product, well it has to be the Alice chair, of course!

Max Konig

Every day is always very different when running a family business such as Nina Campbell.
The lovely thing is that I work with my family and our sense of humours and characters shape how we look and identify as a brand. Good humour and whit are never far from everything we do.

More recently with Covid and Brexit we have concentrated on what really matters to us as a British Brand.
2021/22 will be very important to all Brands in our sector to support our UK manufacturing whether in our textiles and wallcovering, furniture, and accessories and that is a very exciting vision for the way ahead and one we are passionate about.
My favourite product; I simply love any of our Backgammon Boards.

Nina's Product of the Week

Zinghi Bear
This weeks product of the week comes from Great Taste. This Non-alcohoic thirst-quenching beverage has me thinking of Spring days in the garden.

2-star Zingi Bear organic ginger switchel packs a punch when it comes to refreshing taste. The team at Great Taste can’t get enough of this gut-healthy alternative.

Getting Ready for Spring

Decorate your Spring Table
As we still cannot go out to restaurants, how about getting some new table linens, china, glass or cutlery, to make dining at home more cheerful.
We cannot yet welcome people into our homes, but dressing the table still make me feel jolly.

When I think of Spring I think of flowers. This cheerful hand embroidered English meadow tablemat and fine bone china dinner plate are perfect for your Spring table.
